Searching for Rosemary eConsult? The Poole practice now uses a different appointment route
Rosemary Medical Centre in Parkstone changed the way patients request GP care during 2025. The practice said it had already moved from eConsult to SystmConnect, followed by a Total Triage appointment model from 6 October 2025.
In practical terms, the online form now starts the process. A clinician reviews the request before deciding whether the next step should be a face-to-face GP appointment, telephone contact, prescription or another form of support.
First Check: There Are Two Different Rosemary Medical Centres
Search results for “Rosemary Medical Centre” can mix together practices in completely different parts of England. This matters because the wrong result can send a patient to the wrong telephone number, online consultation system or appointment instructions.

Rosemary eConsult Was Replaced by SystmConnect
Rosemary’s September 2025 patient update explained that the practice had already moved from eConsult to SystmConnect for online consultations. It then introduced Total Triage from 6 October 2025.
So “Rosemary Medical Centre eConsult” remains a useful search phrase, but it is no longer the safest way to describe the live 2026 pathway.

Rosemary announced the move before the Total Triage launch.

Nearby practices can use completely different digital systems. Our Shelley Manor Medical Centre online GP guide shows why a booking platform should never be assumed simply because two surgeries are both in the Bournemouth–Poole area.
How to Request a Rosemary GP Appointment in 2026
Under Total Triage, the goal is not to choose an appointment slot before anyone has reviewed the request. The short form gives the clinical team enough information to decide what should happen next.
Open the Poole practice website
Start at rosemarymedicalcentre.co.uk and check that the address shown is 2 Rosemary Gardens, Poole BH12 3HF.
Use the current SystmConnect consultation route
Rosemary’s practice update says appointment and clinical requests begin with a short online form through SystmConnect.
Explain one main problem clearly
Give enough relevant information for clinical triage: what you need help with, how long it has been happening and anything the form specifically asks.
Do not send medical details through an unofficial directory, social-media page or general contact form.
A GP reviews the request
Rosemary says requests are reviewed before the next step is decided. The system is designed to prioritise clinical need rather than simply allocating appointments first-come, first-served.
Read the response before travelling
The outcome may be a face-to-face appointment, telephone contact, prescription or another appropriate form of support. Submitting a form by itself does not mean a surgery visit has automatically been booked.
Ask reception to help if digital access is difficult
Rosemary’s published Total Triage FAQ says patients who cannot complete the online form can be helped by the reception team in person or over the phone.
Call 01202 723372.
What Total Triage Changes — and What It Does Not
| Patient assumption | What Rosemary’s model means | Practical action |
|---|---|---|
| “I completed a form, so I have booked an appointment.” | The form starts clinical review. | Wait for the practice’s response and check the format, clinician and time offered. |
| “Everyone who asks gets a face-to-face GP slot.” | Rosemary says the next step can be face-to-face, telephone, prescription or another form of support. | Follow the route selected after review. |
| “People without internet cannot get an appointment.” | Reception can help complete the request. | Phone 01202 723372 or speak to reception in person. |
| “Total Triage replaces emergency services.” | It is a GP access system, not an emergency service. | Use NHS 111 or 999 when the situation requires urgent or emergency care. |
If You Prefer to Phone, Rosemary Has a Callback Queue
Rosemary announced a telephone callback feature in March 2025 to reduce the need for patients to remain listening in a long queue.
Join the telephone queue
Call the current Poole surgery number: 01202 723372.
Choose callback if offered
Rosemary says your position is held in the queue rather than requiring you to remain on the call.
Reception calls back
The practice says a receptionist calls when your queue position reaches the front.
Rosemary Medical Centre Core Weekday Hours
Current and authoritative public records consistently identify weekday core access as 8:00am–6:30pm Monday to Friday. Older records also describe Saturday extended opening, but weekend arrangements are more likely to change, so this guide does not turn an old Saturday timetable into a guaranteed 2026 opening claim.
| Day | Core information used in this guide | Before travelling |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Use current practice notices for any temporary closure. |
| Tuesday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Online consultation and appointment capacity can still vary. |
| Wednesday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Check current training or closure notices. |
| Thursday | 8:00am–6:30pm | A booked appointment may have a specific arrival time. |
| Friday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Plan prescriptions and routine admin before the weekend. |
| Saturday | Extended-access information has changed over time | Do not assume an old Saturday listing is a current walk-in service. |
| Sunday | No normal Sunday surgery opening used in this guide | Use NHS 111 for urgent non-life-threatening help when closed. |

NHS App and SystmConnect Do Different Jobs
Rosemary has published NHS App setup guidance, but the NHS App is not simply another name for SystmConnect.
Current Rosemary pathway for submitting an online clinical request under Total Triage.
Used for NHS account functions such as supported prescriptions, records, results and other services that are enabled for your account.
NHS App setup
Rosemary’s online-services guidance directs patients to the NHS App, which can also be accessed through a browser if you prefer a desktop or laptop rather than a smartphone.
NHS login identity checks are different from registering as a patient with the GP surgery. You do not need to send identity documents to MedicalCentreUK.org for either process.
Prescriptions Should Not Be Sent as a New GP Appointment Request by Default
Rosemary’s NHS and public practice records show that electronic repeat-prescription access is supported. Where an item is already on your repeat list, an NHS account or the practice’s supported online prescription service is usually a better starting point than creating a new clinical appointment request.
Routine repeat medicine
Check your NHS account or the practice’s live prescription route for medicines already authorised for repeat issue.
Medication review
Some prescriptions require clinical review before another issue can be authorised. Follow any review request sent by the practice.
New or changed medication
Use the clinical route the practice directs you to rather than assuming every medicine question is a routine repeat request.
Rosemary’s NHS Profile Currently Says New Patients Are Accepted
The current NHS profile for The Rosemary Health Ctr, J81036 says the GP surgery is accepting new patients.

Check whether the surgery covers your address
A practice may accept new patients generally but still apply its local catchment rules.
Complete the official registration process
NHS England says most patients can register online, usually by entering their postcode, choosing the GP practice and completing a form.
You do not need ID simply to register
Current NHS guidance says you do not need ID, proof of address, proof of immigration status or an NHS number simply to register with a GP surgery in England.
Parking and Disabled Access at Rosemary Gardens
Public practice information describes the Rosemary Gardens surgery as purpose-built with wheelchair access and disabled facilities. Older practice material also records a hearing loop and translation support.
Mobility and communication support
If you need a wheelchair-accessible route, hearing support, an interpreter or another reasonable adjustment, mention this when the appointment is arranged.
Parking is limited
Local provider information describes on-site patient and staff parking with disabled spaces but warns that capacity is limited.
If parking is essential for your visit, confirm the current arrangement before relying on an available space.

If the Rosemary Appointment Route Is Not Working as Expected
| Problem | Likely reason | Useful next step |
|---|---|---|
| You found an eConsult link | Search engines or saved bookmarks may contain the older system. | Return to Rosemary’s official Poole website and use the current SystmConnect route. |
| Page shows a 020 phone number | You have opened the unrelated Finchley Rosemary practice. | Check for BH12 3HF and call 01202 723372. |
| Online request has not produced an appointment time | SystmConnect starts triage; it does not automatically book a slot. | Check the practice response for the next clinical action. |
| You cannot complete the form | Digital access or form difficulty. | Phone reception or ask for help in person. |
| Phone queue is long | High call demand. | Use Rosemary’s callback option if the telephone system offers it. |
| You need routine medication | A new GP appointment may not be the best route. | Check the NHS App or practice repeat-prescription route first. |
| The surgery is closed and the issue cannot wait | Daytime GP services are unavailable. | Use NHS 111 when urgent but not life-threatening, or 999 for an emergency. |

Rosemary Sits Inside a Busy Poole GP Network
The practice serves Parkstone and the wider Poole area rather than operating as an isolated clinic. Patients can therefore encounter shared NHS services, community teams and primary-care professionals alongside their normal GP care.
That does not mean another Poole surgery automatically accepts a Rosemary patient for routine appointments. Shared services and GP registration are separate issues.
For a nearby Bournemouth practice with a stronger doctor-and-team search intent, our Talbot Medical Centre doctors and practice guide provides a useful comparison without mixing the two surgeries’ staff or appointment systems.
