Woolstone Online GP Without the 8am Rush
Woolstone Medical Centre changed the way routine doctor appointments are requested in September 2025. Instead of needing to telephone or arrive at 8am simply to ask for a doctor appointment, patients can now submit a request through the practice’s Accurx Triage system.
Patient Access and the NHS App still matter, but their functions are not identical to the new GP-triage route. This guide separates those systems so you can start in the right place.

Accurx or Patient Access? Use the Right Woolstone System
Woolstone now has a clearer separation between asking for a routine doctor appointment and using an established GP online-services account.
REQUEST Accurx Triage
Current route for routine doctor appointment requests and medical or administrative submissions through the surgery website.
ACCESS Patient Access
Woolstone continues to publish Patient Access resources for supported online services such as appointment management, repeat prescriptions and record access.
ACCOUNT NHS App
The practice actively promotes the NHS App for supported appointments, prescriptions, medical records and messages.
Choose the Right Woolstone Route
| What you need | Start here | Current Woolstone detail | Avoid this mistake |
|---|---|---|---|
| Routine doctor appointment | Accurx medical request | Submit through the Contact us online route on the practice website. | There is no longer a need simply to call or arrive at 8am to request a doctor appointment. |
| Administrative request | Accurx admin form | Administrative requests can currently be submitted seven days a week. | Do not submit a medical problem through the admin form. |
| No internet / cannot use Accurx | Reception | Call 020 8699 1062. Reception can assist with completing the form. | Digital access is not required in order to ask the practice for help. |
| Nurse, HCA, physiotherapist or pharmacist | Reception | The practice says to call or visit for appointments that do not require a GP. | Accurx doctor triage is not the universal booking form for every clinic. |
| Repeat prescription | NHS App | Woolstone actively encourages the NHS App for repeat-medication requests. | Repeat prescription requests are not accepted by telephone. |
| Test result | NHS App / Patient Access | Results may be visible online after GP review. | If calling, the practice asks patients to enquire after 2pm. |
| New-patient registration | Practice registration | The current NHS profile says Woolstone is accepting new patients. | Do not confuse GP registration with registering separately for online record access. |
| Evening/weekend GP appointment | Lewisham Extended Access | Additional pre-booked GP appointments are published for evenings and weekends. | They are not ordinary Woolstone walk-in hours. |
Woolstone Accurx Triage: How GP Booking Works
Woolstone introduced Accurx Triage for routine doctor appointment requests from 17 September 2025.
Start on Woolstone’s official website
Use the Contact us online option displayed by the practice.
Choose medical or administrative request
Use the medical form for a routine GP problem. Administrative requests should go through the administrative route.
Submit during the correct period
Current Woolstone guidance says medical requests can be submitted Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:30pm .
Administrative requests are currently accepted seven days a week.
Wait for clinical review
The practice says requests are reviewed by clinicians in the order received. Depending on the request, the response may be a call, message or appointment arrangement.
Woolstone Medical Centre Opening Hours
The current practice website publishes the following core surgery hours.
| Day | Core opening hours | What to remember |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Medical Accurx requests use the same published weekday window. |
| Tuesday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Training or bank-holiday closures may differ. |
| Wednesday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Check your individual appointment time. |
| Thursday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Current notices can temporarily change access. |
| Friday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Check ahead before bank holidays. |
| Saturday | Closed | Extended-access GP appointments are separate. |
| Sunday | Closed | Extended-access and NHS urgent-care routes are separate services. |
Nurse, HCA, Physiotherapist and Pharmacist Appointments
Woolstone’s 2025 Accurx transition notice makes an important distinction: the new triage system is specifically the routine GP doctor appointment route.
Continue to call or contact the surgery for the appropriate nurse booking route.
Contact reception rather than automatically using the GP medical-triage form.
Woolstone’s triage guidance similarly tells patients to call or visit the surgery for non-GP professional appointments.
Patient Access at Woolstone Medical Centre
