Looking for eConsult? Concord Now Uses Anima
The biggest 2026 correction for Concord patients is the online booking route. If an old search result tells you to look for eConsult or AskMyGP, do not start there. Concord Medical Centre moved its patient queries and appointment requests to Anima from 22 November 2024.
Anima is now used for medical requests, appointments, fit notes and many administrative tasks. The surgery still has a telephone route when you need help, and it publishes longer opening hours than many nearby practices, including Saturday morning.

How to Book Through Concord’s Anima System
Concord announced that from 22 November 2024, Anima would replace its previous system for all patient queries and appointment bookings. The current homepage and appointment pages still identify Anima as the live online triage route.
Start from Concord’s official appointment page
Open Concord Medical Centre’s appointment page and use the Anima link provided there. This protects you from stale AskMyGP or generic eConsult links.
Create an Anima account or use NHS login
Concord says patients can create an Anima account or sign in using their NHS login details.
Submit the medical or administrative request
Describe the main issue using the questions presented. Anima can be used for healthcare concerns as well as administrative requests.
State what type of consultation may work for you
Concord asks patients to tell it if they prefer a particular clinician or contact method such as telephone, face-to-face, video, text or email.
Mention communication needs
Tell the practice if you need an interpreter or another communication/access adjustment.
Watch the request status
Concord’s Anima information says the account dashboard can show the status of requests, enable appointment booking and support communication with the practice.

Routine, Urgent, Video and Home-Visit Appointments
Routine
Concord says it aims to provide a routine appointment with a GP or another healthcare professional within two weeks of receiving the online request.
Urgent
When the request is considered urgent, the practice says it will arrange same-day contact with a GP or other healthcare professional.
Video
Video consultations can be requested through the online system. A GP may then arrange video, telephone or face-to-face care depending on the situation.
Home visit

Concord’s ID Wording Looks Contradictory — Here Is the Important Part
Concord’s current registration page says patients need to provide ID and proof of address so the practice can check the catchment area.
However, Concord’s own current Safe Surgery Statement says it does not require proof of identity, address or immigration status to register unless required by NHS regulations and that lack of documentation will not be a barrier.
That Safe Surgery wording matches national NHS guidance, which says you do not need ID, proof of address, immigration status or an NHS number simply to register with a GP surgery in England.

Repeat Prescriptions: Do Not Order by Phone
Concord says it cannot process repeat-prescription requests by telephone because of medication-safety requirements.
NHS App
Concord recommends the NHS App for repeat medication. Choose an eligible repeat medicine and nominate a pharmacy.
Online prescription form
Concord also provides a dedicated online repeat-prescription form asking for patient details, medication name, strength and amount where relevant.
Cannot use online services?
The practice says patients who cannot use the online methods and find it difficult to attend should contact the surgery so it can try to accommodate their needs.
How long should you allow?
Concord says a prescription can usually be collected from the nominated pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after ordering. Bank holidays are not working days, so the practice asks patients to allow extra time.
How Concord Handles Test Results

Concord says patients can view eligible reviewed results in the NHS App without visiting reception.
Blood-test timing
The practice says blood-test results usually take about five working days to return and be checked by a GP.
If something needs discussion
Concord says a GP will contact you if the result needs further discussion. If there is no problem, the practice says you will normally not be contacted and can view the result online.
Fit Notes: The Seven-Day Rule Still Matters
Concord says your employer should not normally require an NHS GP fit note. Use self-certification instead.
