Searched for eConsult? Woodview now uses SystmConnect
Woodview’s online GP route changed in June 2026. The practice moved from AccuRx Patient Triage to SystmConnect from midday on 17 June 2026. That is now the important system to understand for same-day, routine and administrative requests.
You do not need to create a SystmConnect account simply to send a request, and patients who cannot use the internet can ask reception to complete the same questions on their behalf.

If You Searched “Woodview eConsult”, Do Not Use an Old Booking Link
Patients often use the word “eConsult” for any GP online form, even when the practice uses another supplier. At Woodview, the important 2026 change is more specific.
| Period / system | What Woodview says | What patients should do |
|---|---|---|
| Old “eConsult” search | “eConsult” may be used by searchers as a generic term for online GP access. | Do not assume an old eConsult result is Woodview’s live route. |
| AccuRx Patient Triage | Woodview used AccuRx before the June 2026 platform migration. | Avoid saved AccuRx links unless the live practice page specifically redirects you there. |
| SystmConnect | Woodview announced the switch at midday on 17 June 2026. | Start from the current Woodview appointment page and submit the appropriate request. |
Online systems vary even between nearby surgeries. Our Abington Medical Centre same-day Anima guide shows why a Northampton patient should always check the online route used by their own registered practice.
How to Request a Same-Day or Routine Appointment
Woodview’s current appointment page allows online requests for same-day and routine appointments and says the system can route requests for GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, physiotherapy and other appropriate services.
Open the current Woodview appointment page
Use the practice’s official Appointments page rather than an old supplier bookmark.
Select the type of request
Choose the option that best matches the task: urgent/same-day care, routine appointment, administration, prescription query or another supported request.
Answer the questions clearly
Give enough information for the practice to understand what help you need without writing a long unrelated history. Mention communication or interpreter needs where relevant.
Submit and keep your phone available
Woodview reviews the request and decides what happens next. The response can involve an appointment, further questions, another professional or another suitable NHS service.
No internet? Reception can submit the same request
Woodview specifically says reception staff can complete the online form on a patient’s behalf, asking the same questions and putting the request into the same queue.
Woodview Publishes Different Response Targets for Different Requests
This is useful because “I sent an online form” does not tell you when every type of request should receive the same response.
| Request type | Woodview’s published aim | Patient planning tip |
|---|---|---|
| Urgent appointment request | Within 2 hours | Keep your phone available and do not submit duplicate forms simply because a response is not instant. |
| Routine appointment request | Within 1 working day | This is a response target, not a promise that the consultation itself will happen within one day. |
| Administrative or prescription request | Within 3 working days | Do not convert an admin request into an urgent clinical request simply to try to get a faster reply. |
Woodview Medical Centre Opening Hours
The current Woodview opening-times page lists normal core surgery opening from 8:00am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday.
| Day | Normal surgery hours | Patient note |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Appointment requests can be submitted online during working-day core hours. |
| Tuesday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Use SystmConnect or phone according to the type of request. |
| Wednesday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Check current notices before a journey that is difficult to rearrange. |
| Thursday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Core hours do not guarantee that every clinician or clinic operates continuously all day. |
| Friday | 8:00am–6:30pm | Submit routine medication and admin requests before the weekend where possible. |
| Saturday | Closed | Northampton Enhanced Access appointments may be available separately. |
| Sunday | Closed | Enhanced Access and NHS 111 are separate routes. |
Northampton Enhanced Access Adds Evening, Weekend and Bank-Holiday Appointments
Woodview participates in the Northampton GP Enhanced Access Service. These are bookable appointments rather than an invitation to walk into the surgery without arranging care first.
Weekday evenings
Current Woodview information publishes Enhanced Access from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
Weekends
Saturday and Sunday appointments are published from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Bank holidays
The current page publishes appointments from 10:30am to 1:30pm.
Woodview says Enhanced Access can include appointments with GPs, nurses and healthcare assistants. Call the usual surgery number, 01604 670780, to ask about availability.
For another Northampton practice with its own booking and out-of-hours arrangements, see our Mounts Medical Centre hours and GP access guide .
Pharmacy First Can Avoid Using a GP Slot for Some Minor Conditions
Woodview’s appointment page currently tells patients that some minor illnesses can be referred to Pharmacy First.
Contact Woodview by phone or online form
Ask whether Pharmacy First is an appropriate route for the problem you are contacting the practice about.
Choose your preferred participating pharmacy
Woodview says it can refer the patient directly to the chosen pharmacy when the Pharmacy First route is suitable.
Attend the pharmacy consultation
A pharmacist assesses the problem privately and can provide advice or eligible treatment under the NHS service.
Some Annual Review Appointments Can Be Booked Directly Online
Woodview’s current appointment page says patients registered for online access to their NHS GP record may be able to book selected review appointments through SystmOne.
Appropriate patients may see a directly bookable smear-test appointment through the supported online service.
Asthma-review slots are another type Woodview currently lists as potentially available for direct online booking.
Availability can vary. If the appointment you expect is not shown, contact Woodview rather than booking an unrelated clinical slot.
Repeat Prescriptions: Allow Three Working Days
Woodview gives patients several ways to order normal repeat medicines.
NHS App / NHS account
View available repeat medicines and select the items you need.
SystmOnline / Airmid
Woodview supports its SystmOne-linked online services and Airmid for eligible repeat-medication functions.
Online admin request
Medication and prescription enquiries can also use the current administration-request route.
A paper repeat request can also be placed in the red box at reception.
Test Results: Online Access or Contact the Practice After Review
Woodview says that when a test result indicates you need further tests or treatment, the practice will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed the result, patients can currently use:
- NHS App / NHS account;
- SystmOnline;
- the practice by phone or in person after 2:00pm.
GP health-record access
Woodview’s records guidance says the NHS account can provide access to supported parts of the GP record. Patients can also ask the surgery about fuller online-record access where appropriate.
Home Visits Are for Patients Who Are Genuinely Housebound
Woodview asks patients to telephone before 11:00am where possible if a home visit is required.
The practice says home visits are for patients who are genuinely housebound because of illness or disability.
A doctor reviews home-visit requests after morning surgery. A doctor or nurse may call first because some problems can be resolved by advice or another care route.
How to Register With Woodview Medical Centre
Woodview currently uses the NHS Register with a GP surgery service for online registration and also keeps a paper-form option for patients who need one.
Check the practice boundary first
Use Woodview’s catchment / postcode checker before submitting the registration form.
Open the official registration route
Woodview links patients to the NHS-run registration service, which submits the application securely.
Have your NHS number if you know it
The practice provides a link for finding an NHS number but also explains that you do not need to know your NHS number to use NHS services.
Prefer paper?
Woodview says paper registration forms remain available from the surgery reception.
Moving address after registration?
Update Woodview promptly. The practice notes that moving outside its catchment may mean you need to register with a GP closer to your new home.

Woodview’s current contact information lists several practical facilities that matter when planning an appointment.

Car parking, cycle parking and disabled parking are listed at the practice.

Common Woodview Problems and the Best Next Step
| Problem | Why it happens | Best next step |
|---|---|---|
| I searched for Woodview eConsult | Search results and old terminology can lag behind digital changes | Start from Woodview’s current Appointments page and use SystmConnect. |
| I saved an AccuRx link before June | Woodview moved from AccuRx Patient Triage to SystmConnect on 17 June 2026 | Delete the old bookmark and enter through the current practice website. |
| I do not have internet or a smartphone | Digital exclusion | Call 01604 670780. Reception can complete the same request questions on your behalf. |
| I sent an urgent form but have not had an instant answer | Woodview publishes a response aim rather than an instant-chat service | The practice aims to respond to urgent appointment requests within two hours. If the situation becomes an emergency, use 999 rather than waiting for the online response. |
| I want an evening or weekend appointment | Normal Woodview core hours have ended | Call the practice and ask whether Northampton Enhanced Access has a suitable GP, nurse or HCA appointment. |
| My repeat prescription is not ready | Woodview asks patients to allow three working days | Check when the request was submitted, allow for weekends and bank holidays, and confirm the nominated pharmacy. |
| I need a test result | The doctor may still need to review the result | Check NHS App or SystmOnline after review, or contact the practice after 2pm. |
| I need urgent help while Woodview is closed | Core GP services are unavailable | Use NHS 111 for urgent non-life-threatening help; call 999 for a life-threatening emergency. |
If you are comparing GP access across Northamptonshire rather than just Northampton town, our Woodsend Medical Centre GP booking guide shows a different online-access model and reinforces why each surgery’s live booking page matters.
